Costumes/props

Here we generated a list of costumes and props that we are going to use in our opening sequence that could help improve and enhance the quality of our movie. I conducted some research in addition to our inical ideal of props and costumes in order to generate an overall list.
Mirror
The mirror is a significant to our opening sequence and will be used in two different forms; broken and unbroken. It firstly used at the start of the opening sequence to foreshadow mystery and destruction later on in the movie when doing the dare. It also links to the performance of the Bloody Mary dare and character, to which they look in a mirror (unboken) to see if the mythical creature will appear. This prop will be used to inflict damage and danger in regards to what the group of friends will do.

Pillows and Blankets:
Adds to the realism of our location ,by reflecting it to be a bedroom or a casual sleepover environment in a house.

 Casual Clothing/pj's :
This costume is something all characters in our opening sequence to our horror thriller will wear. This specific costume will emphasise the age group of our characters and their innocence/vulnerability to them. It also corresponds to our location reece used; a room we are dressing up into a bedroom/sleepover environment so its more realistic.

Ketchup
This was used as a substitute to blood. It is significant in our film as it adds drama and a sense of horror/danger. In addition to this it also corresponds to our title of bloody Mary and our plot. The blood links to our supernatural character Bloody Mary, to which foreshadows danger.

Phone
This was used as it is an item our characters of their age group (teenagers) frequently use. This is significant in identification for the characters. It is used during one of our scenes when a character show the result of someone who did the bloody Mary dare.

Location Recce

In terms of scenery and setting, we chose our school as the main setting for the scene we are going to produce because of the fact that not only is it an easy to access but it also has the drama room in which we have( we could dress up this large room to reflect a setting of a bedroom. We are planning to use props like a dressing table, pillows, bedsheets a table, clothes, a mirror ect in order to make the setting more realistic and convincing to the audience.

However due to the avalability of this setting we later changed our setting for a house which is just as practical. However due to lack of space we had to dress up the large living room area, using the tables and sofas in order to convey the teen character of a bedroom to which they are having a sleepover. We still had to dress up the room basically.
